Registration Process

FOR COMPLETE BEGINNERS:

Registration is managed on an individual basis by e-mail and later in person, and is based on availability and the readiness of your child.

Following your inquiry, you will receive your first two lessons free of charge. This is everyone’s opportunity to observe the connection we have together and see if we would like to work together further. 

No instruments are required for this intro lesson. After these experiences, you will likely have questions. After this period, we will likely schedule a one-on-one parent consultation where all thoughts, questions, and concerns are welcome and encouraged. From there, we can decide when to begin private instruction.

FOR THOSE WITH PREVIOUS VIOLIN OR VIOLA INSTRUCTION:

I welcome students with a wide variety of musical backgrounds. To understand your level of playing and learn of your goals, two complementary lessons/auditions will be scheduled. Prior to accepting a transfer student, I will want to be certain that our goals are congruent so I may provide optimal training.

 Please come prepared to play a scale that best represents your level, present two pieces - a polished piece and one you are currently working on - and to discuss your future goals.
